Bags Are Packed - Next Stop South Bend, IN

The Tire Rack One Lap of America departure date has finally arrived. The car is packed and is in good spirits as I see it tapping its toes in the drive. A quick fuel stop and diet coke purchase for the road and then I'll head to Woody Hair's abode to pick up my co-driver, Brian Hair. From there it is a 9 hour caravan ride west to South Bend, IN. Our first night in a crappy hotel...unfortunately the first of many. It appears the weather today will cooperate for our first leg - cool and sunny.

Sorry to make this post so brief, but more later this evening either from the road or from South Bend after a long drive with a cool beverage in hand. Time to finish up a few remaining items and get to Woody's.

ROBIN SPARROW:

Robin Sparrow is a Director of Project Management Services in Studley's Suburban Washington office. Last year Robin and his co-driver, Robert Grace, finished the 2013 OLOA in the top 20 overall and third in class - thanks Robert!!! Robin also joined the racing ranks in 2012 by competing in the NASA Series Spec 3 for BMWs. WOODY HAIR:

Old fart, hot shoe use to be, generally all around good egg. Woody hails from Arlington, Virginia - his life long home. Woody is the former HPDE Champion of North America. He has also won numerous SCCA, NASA, and BMW National Capitol Chapter autocross events. This is Woody's 12th One Lap of America.
